Vintage toys from the 127 sale

These old toys are GREAT! I had these when I was a kid. I bought them because I loved playing with them. I have a small collection of vintage toys of my childhood. I cannot resist buying them. Memories!

The Playskool Cobblers Bench was $5 and the Fisher Price Movie Projector was $4.

I had that exact movie too. "Lonesome Ghosts". My girls were with me when I bought them and they loved playing with them. It kept them busy while we were shopping along the 127 sale!

The mirror was $5 and it is now hanging by my front door.

The story of this rug is incredible! The cutest, sweetest young lady was unrolling it and I was the first to see it. She mentioned she purchased it from Pottery Barn a few months ago for $250. She is getting a divorce and selling the rug because it reminds her of her ex husband. I knew it would sell fast! I wanted that rug SO BAD!

Gobblet Junior

It is played just like Tic Tac Toe except you can gobble up your opponent and move your pieces around the board. We play this almost EVERY DAY. 3 year olds and 5 year olds can beat their parents! I scored this game for $4.  (retail $25.00)

Prof Wacky's Wahoo Word Lab

When I found this cute, little, word game at a garage sale last summer our 5 year old could only spell her name and "mom" and "dad". But I knew it wouldn't be long before she could read everything around her. That time has come. Our kindergartner is so proud that she can read entire books by herself.

I wanted to find more ways to encourage her reading so I pulled out this game that I had hidden away. Match a green card with a pink card to build a word. This wonderful tool is so fun. There are ideas for 7 game variations. Great deal for 75 cents! (retail $12.99)

Bounce House inside on a cold, snowy day

On this absolutely freezing, cold, snowy day we knew it would be a perfect day to setup the Bounce House and exercise indoors! This has been an amazing garage sale find! I found it for $75 and the previous owners explained that it had never been outside and had only been used in their bonus room above their garage. They mentioned it was perfect for winter days and parties with friends and family. I was SOLD. We have used this so much! It is 9' x 9' and fits in our family room, if I push a couch out of the way. It completely inflates in about 90 seconds and the kids will practice gymnastics for about 20 minutes. They get another 20 minutes later in the day and then it's put away for the day.

We also enjoyed this story matching game. It includes 20 different story sequencing puzzles. The box is marked with a U.S. retail price of $38.85 and I paid $1 at a garage sale. A GREAT DEAL on our educational toys!

Lite Brite

I remember playing with Lite Brite for hours. I bought this for $2 this summer and I just brought it out tonight for the first time. The girls spent a good 25 minutes working together on making this snowman while we made dinner! My 3 year old just LOVES Frosty right now. She finds Frosty everywhere and she carries one around. Today I had to buy snowman wrapping paper just for her presents. I can't wait to see her get excited over the paper!

Ready for snow!

We have a few flakes of snow on the ground and the girls are ready to go sledding! I bought these 2 sleds at garage sales this summer for $3 and $4 each so we are all set! We do need a bit more snow first though. The most important part of a sled for me is the rope so I can pull the girls back home when they are too tired to walk!

Our latest craigslist purchase. Trampoline

We thought our girls would just get so much use out of a trampoline. They love their gymnastics class. So we found this for $100 on craigslist. No way could we afford a brand new one. We drove 2 vehicles to their house (about 30 minutes away) and took it apart. Then it took several hours to set it back up in our backyard. It was worth it. The girls love it! They will use this for many, many years.

Birthday bicycle

How perfect is this purple Disney princess bicycle for a 3 year old! I found this for $3! We put it in the living room and my daugther saw it first thing when she woke up on her birthday! Happy Birthday Princess!

Perfect for my Cinderella and Ariel

When I saw these I just knew I had to have them for my girls. They will make perfect Christmas presents! Let's see If I can hold out until then!
Perfect day! $5 each !!!!

And I LOVE the nice people that I meet on these treasure adventures!
