Yes, I am addicted to garage sales. I check the classifieds online and make a map of the sales I want to hit EVERY week. It may be the THRILL of finding unique items or getting a GREAT deal on something I just have to have!!
I have been COLLECTING things for many years now and I want to share this "addiction".

Saturday July 17!
We shopped from 8am until 10:30am at this event! I brought along a double stroller to use as a shopping cart. We filled it more than once! There were 10 of us shopping in our group. It was so much fun. Then we went on to more sales around town.
I cannot wait to show you the finds from this day!

POPCORN MAKER
I told her "sure - it's funny how it works, but I will find one." I haven't seen one (that I can remember) in the last 5 years of garage saling. But it just happens. I will find it. No worries!
So I looked on Craigslist and found a couple of POPCORN MAKERS. I showed her one and she agreed it was just what she was looking for and it was $20. As I was grocery shopping I happened to see a brand new POPCORN MAKER for $35.
THEN THE OTHER DAY I FOUND THIS!

Price tags on the bottom!
I love it when the prices for picture frames are on the back! I don't have to get out the Goo Gone to remove the sticky goo from the glass! I almost cry when I pull off a price tag and it has removed the finish from a wood piece.
And another big NO NO is writing the price on the item with a black permanent marker. I did buy a Scrabble game - because I wanted it for the tiles - but the price was written right on the game box. I would hesitate putting that in my home game collection.
I have found one trick to remove the black permanent marker from clothes. Sometimes I will find clothes that have been personalized - writing their child's name on the tag or in the collar. I have sprayed WD-40 on the marker and it rubs right out! Then, of course, I throw it into the washing machine.
Thank you for putting the price tags on the BOTTOM!

Papa bear. Mama bear. Baby bear.
I got all 3 chairs for $5 today!
Perfect to take to the lake this holiday weekend!
We got to our first sale today at 8am. There were some amazing furniture finds. (desks!) We had 2 vehicles filled and returned home to unload by 9am. Whew! Then we went back out to 3 more sales and Salvation Army. We had both our vehicles filled AGAIN! Time to call it a day. And it was a GORGEOUS 70 degree and sunny day for treasure hunting!
